How To Play Cornhole
Materials Needed
A cornhole set (including 2 boards and 8 beanbags)
The long-time favourite American classic game of Cornhole, otherwise known as beanbag toss or sack toss, is a fantastic lawn game for everyone.
SETTING UP
First things first, you'll need a cornhole set which you could buy online or build your own. A cornhole set needs to have two cornhole boards (one for either end) and eight beanbags. Once you've got your cornhole boards ready, place them 27 feet apart on the lawn or playing area.
PLAYING
Cornhole can be played with two or four players. To play the game, players must line up next to their cornhole board, behind the end line. Then each player or team takes it in turns to throw a beanbag at the opposite cornhole. Once all eight beanbags have been thrown (four for each team) the round is completed.
SCORING
A beanbag that goes through the hole is worth 3 points.
A beanbag that lands on the board is worth 1 point.
A player or team scores the difference at the end of the round.
So if Team A gets 1 beanbag in the hole (3 points) and 2 on the board (2 points) they'll have 5 points.
And if Team B gets 2 beanbags in the hole (6 points) and 1 on the board (1 point) they'll have 7 points.
Team B's 7 points is 2 more than Team A's 5 points. So Team B gains 2 points for their total record and the next round can continue.
WINNING
The first player or team to get to 21 total points wins!
