Thailand Tag

An active drama no prep game

How To Play Thailand Tag

Youth are divided into two teams, and a line is drawn across the middle the room to separate the teams.

Alternating back and forth between teams, one member from each team runs across the line onto the other team's side of the room and tries to tag as many of them as possible. THE CATCH is that the whole time the person is running and trying to tag, they must be making a noise. Their attempt doesn't count if they run out of breath before they make it back across the line to their team's side.

If they make it back before taking a breath, anyone they tagged joins their team. The game is over when everyone has been tagged and is on one side of the line.

This game can be played according to a them i.e. animal noises, vehicle noises, etc..

It's a version of Kabadi, a sport played in Thailand and other countries. We once played it in PE at school, when playing it properly you have to say kabadi over and over without breathing.

... So why is this game called "Thailand Tag"? What does Thailand have to do with this game?

We call it Dodo, as we have to say Dododododododododododododo

and if we run out of breath while on other side, we are out.
