Man on the Moon

A no prep non-contact game for junior youth

How To Play Man on the Moon

Materials Needed

You only just need a pen, stick or something to "draw" the Man on The Moon.

1. First come up with a "key." This will be a subtle but noticeable action that would be done prior, during or after drawing the Man on the Moon. E.g. "Thank You" when taking the pen from someone could be your key (and makes for a great lesson in manners?).
2. Then demonstrate drawing "The Man on The Moon." You can do it however you like. The fun part here is if you are asked to demonstrate again, you can do it differently. The Aim of the game isn't to draw an accurate "Man on the Moon" its if anyone can guess the logic of the game.
3. Make sure you let everyone know who works out the secret key, that they should keep it quiet. The game can be played for however long you like. But if you're running a camp or program for a few days/hours, use this activity throughout as you work through the people who haven't worked it out yet.
