Memory Verse Basketball

A memory sports game for junior youth

How To Play Memory Verse Basketball

Materials Needed

basketball/ball, hoop/bin

Divide the group into two teams.

Print out a memory verse and cut it up so there is one word on each piece of paper.

Set up a hoop or bin which teams must aim for. When a goal is made, a team will be rewarded with a word. They have to try to be the first team to get all the words from their memory verse and arrange it in the correct order. Each player gets a shot, if they miss, it goes to the next player.

This can be done either as a race or get each team to have alternate shots.

This is an effective, engaging method to help your youth kids learn their bible memory verse.

Could you also do this with football?

You could also award pieces of a jigsaw puzzle they have to assemble.

sounds cool you could make it go for ever if you did a long verse and had far away targets
