Balloon Pop

A memory game for junior youth

How To Play Balloon Pop

Materials Needed

balloons, paper

A fantastic balloon game to help with learning memory verses!

Put each word of the memory verse in the balloon in different balloons.

Each child gets a balloon to burst, thus retrieving their word. As a group the kids put the memory verse in order.

Alternatively you can tie the balloons to their feet and get them to run around and try to pop each other's balloons.

WARNING: Approach this with caution, some kids are horribly frightened of popping balloons, so take necessary precautions to avoid tears... even if it is something a bit novel like bringing ear muffs :P

I played this last week and the kids LOVED it (year 6s)...it really set them up well for the rest of the time too, as they had a chance to run around like crazy, tire themselves out and then for some reason calmed right down and happily chatted about the memory verse etc...and they remembered the verse too!
