The Stories of Your Names

A team-building, relaxed, icebreaker game for small groups

How To Play The Stories of Your Names

Materials Needed

Paper & Pencils

Divide group into smaller groups (3-4 people). Give each group 1 sheet of paper and a pencil. Write every person's full name on the paper (state up front if they should include middle names or not). Using only those letters in the names one time each, form as many words as you can. (Tip: Cross letters out as they're used.)
Then, each person tells something about themselves incorporating just one of those words. Go around as many times as it takes till all words are reflected in personal stories. (Ex. Sail. "I used to go sailing with my dad on the lake. One time we capsized, which scared me at first but then helped me overcome my fear of water.")
(Alternative idea: Using those words, make up a funny story, kind of like a Mad Lib)
